As you are aware, Cognizant recently acquired six companies from the C1 Group, one of the largest independent consulting, systems integration, enterprise application and testing firms in Europe.

C1 and Cognizant will maintain continuity of service to customers of both companies. The day-to-day teams remain intact and will continue to work on, and complete, existing projects without disruption. Together with C1, we have diligently planned all aspects of the transition, taking into consideration all on-going projects. Roles and responsibilities will remain unchanged to ensure both clients and employees see no break in relationships or in continuity of service.
The management structure remains largely unchanged with Cognizant providing executive management for the operating companies that have joined us. We are providing integration support to our new colleagues via an integration programme management office, and working with the C1 executive team to determine the best long-term management structure.
There will be enhanced synergies within the current structure, with greater capacity and scale made possible by this transaction. C1’s professionals are being introduced to Cognizant’s services and solutions offerings, which, in turn, are being mapped to the customers of the combined company. C1 will maintain delivery of its services without disruption and clients will continue to work with the same points of contact.
Plans are in place to manage and mitigate all the risks associated with this change through a well-defined transition and knowledge transfer process.
With regards to the employees themselves, the Human Resources team at Cognizant has developed a change management plan, ensuring a smooth transition of people from C1 to Cognizant.
